Matty wanted to build a fort today, so instead I pulled out this bed tent and together we set it up on the couch. (This tent stayed on the couch and Matty slept in it for almost a week. Now it is on his bed.)

You’ve heard the expression, “Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses…” Well, in April in my neighborhood it is, “Don’t forget to stop and smell the Jasmine…” Just about every house in this neighborhood has Jasmine or Honeysuckle somewhere, either as a ground cover, bush, or vine. Along with the Gardina’s, everything is in bloom and just stepping out the front door smells sooooo good. This is the house directly across the street from us…

So far everyday we have gone to the park at least once. Today, we went twice. In the morning we went to Glencliff Park and then this afternoon we biked over to Bay Bridge Park. Matty loves to play outside….

Today, Matty and I went out to Ms. Shawna’s house on Redington Beach to have a playdate with Ashton. Nolan is in Davy’s class and Ashton will be in Matty’s class. Shawna had asked me if I would help her get started on a quilt for Nolan, so while they played we worked on her sewing machine. We took them down to the beach, they swam in the pool, had lunch, and it was a super fun day.

“I went to the Natural History Museum. I saw dinosaurs! A big whale and I went to Dillon’s Candy shop. I got a lot of candy. I stayed in New Jersey. Aunt Bee has a basement, it has a movie room. I watched the Wizard of Oz and then me, Mom, and Matty went to the theater. We saw the Wizard of Oz the Great and Powerful and the second day before the last day I saw the Croods. I had licorice for my snack and my brother had Dots. I love the movie.
