Tonight we were invited over to the Alvarez’s for a Pumpkin Carving Party. The boys were super excited and had a wonderful time playing with their friends. Us grownups… we enjoyed a relaxing evening of great food, great company, and a little Alabama football…

Halloween 2012
It’s our 4th Halloween here and we couldn’t be more excited to go trick-or-treating. Granny came over to see the boys and help pass out candy. We started at Ms. Debbie’s house next door and we were on our way. Very quickly we ran into Caiden and the boys decided to go together….
Matty trying to keep up with the big boys…love him so…

Happy or Scary? Carving Pumpkins 2012
This year when it came time to carve the pumpkin we had to take a vote: Happy or Scary. Davy and Daddy voted for Scary and Mama, Matty, Molly, and Granny voted for Happy. And we have a winner…
- Davy had to draw out the face he would like to see on the pumpkin.
- He had to cut open the top
- He and Matty had to scoop out the insides
- Davy turned over the knife for Mama to carve
- We decided to make a scary face on the little white pumpkin
- Repeat steps… 🙂
I attempted to roast the pumpkin seeds, but on Halloween when I put them in the oven I got caught up in the excitment of costumes and trick-or-treating and forgot about them. Andy found them on fire in the oven…Oops!

Mattys Trunk or Treat Parade
How sweet is little Matty at his Trunk or Treat parade at Primrose Preschool…. He was the only one in his class dressed up as Batman!
Happy Halloween 2011
After a full day of rain and waiting, the sun finally came out and the children excitedly got dressed…it was time to go Trick-or-Treating!!! Since Friday a few things have been lost along the way: Matty’s hook, Davy’s sunglasses and tie. They didn’t care though, at this point it was all about the candy. At about 5:30 Colin and Connor came over and we knew then that not many were going to make it to six. I was lucky to get a few photos before they ran out the door. Once again, here is my OSS Super Agent Kid Spy and Captain “Matty” Hook!
Emma is dressed up like Strawberry Shortcake and Jack is the UPS Man.
Caiden and Hudson were both Ninja Turtles.
I love this photo because although there are so many different things that the children could be carrying to collect their candy in, they all seem to still want to carry the orange pumpkin.
Andy and I feeling a little bit of Halloween spirit!
It didn’t take long for Davy to ditch the mustache, he said that it itched.
Grandpa Barnhart was handing out little bibles and Grandma Barnhart was handing out the candy!
Ashlynn and Landon also dressed as characters from Harry Potter.
Davy and Ashlynn wanted to go trick-or-treating together, so we let Davy run ahead and have fun with her. :O)
Prince Charming and Cinderella.
Grandma Jenni handing out some candy.
Reese dressed as Rapunzel.
While Davy ran ahead, Matty thought that it would be fun to catch a ride in a couple of different wagons…here he is in Mr. Brian’s wagon….
and here he is in Mr. Garrett’s wagon.
Daddy and his boys.
They finally gave up and decided to call it a night. Daddy let them pick out a handful of candy each to open and they chose to sit on the front porch and watch the other kids go by and collect candy from Papa. They were so happy today and Andy and I loved every minute of it.

Fun Halloween Foods at the Block Party
Every year our neighborhood has a Halloween block party. This year they decided to move it to the lawn, instead of by the bridge. With food, friends, and fun it was a great time for all.
Matty and Jack…
Matty needed to go to the bathroom, leave it to Mr. I can do anything to just run home and go. While looking for him, we see him coming up the road.

Kindergarten Halloween Parade
Every year the lower division at Berkeley hosts an annual Halloween Costume Parade. The children line up in their classes by grade and parade around the mound to fun spooky music. After all of the grades have entered, each one is presented to the parents for photo opportunities and then they parade out. How cute is Mrs. Lewis dressed up like an MnM… Afterwards, the children get to have a special party in their room…. This year I was on the volunteer list and got to help assist the mummy wrapping center.

Happy Halloween 2010!!!
It is finally here!! Happy Halloween!!! The boys were so excited all weekend that they were going to get to go trick-or-treating. This year the neighborhood started off Halloween weekend with an organized block party on Saturday night the 30th. Over on the bridge to the village they set up the annual haunted house, so this seemed to be the perfect location. There were two bounce houses, tables and tables of pot luck food brought out, a bon-fire, and the Trimble’s projected the Wizard of Oz onto the side of the their house for movies on the lawn. The kids got to dress up in their costumes and they had a great time. There must have been at least 100 people who came out for the party. By the end of the evening we ended up in front of the Nugent’s home roasting marshmallows and making smores.
This year for Halloween, Davy decided that he wanted to be an astronaut and Matty we dressed as Mickey mouse. Davy loved his costume and wore it for days… Matty surprisingly loved his too. He was just as proud of his costume. He got a little frustrated that he couldn’t get his gloves to stay on, but he wore his Mickey ears, which squeaked, the entire night.
Mom, Courtney, Andy’s Dad, and Mr. Michaels all came over to see the boys and to spend some time with us. For dinner Andy grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone, including Colin and Connor. It was a perfect, delicious dinner before we headed out to get some candy. Colin and Connor dressed up as the Mario Brothers and Emma was a ballerina.
