After breakfast we finally said, “Yes!” we can go out for the egg hunt now. Most of the morning Matty had been running back and forth from the front door to outside by the pool yelling at us that he “found another one!” so out they went. They were sweet enough to pause for me to get a photo, they just look so cute in their outfits!…. 🙂

Mom found a Groupon to Dade City Wild Things, so the boys and I met her there today to go on the walking tour. There were monkeys, birds, panthers, tigers, lions, bears, deer, buffalo, otters…just about anything you would want to see. I also think it was the closest that I have ever been to several of the animals. It was a very neat thing to do with the boys.

After months and months of waiting and counting down….today is registration day for the Marine Corps Marathon! At 12 noon registration went live and over 100,000 people crashed onto their site hoping for one of 30,000 spots. After many website errors, host crashing, and page timeouts around 1:30pm I received confirmation and just before 2pm Kelly did. Whew…. The entire marathon closed in 2 hours and 27 mins. We are so excited to have the two spots and can’t wait to participate in the 3rd largest Marathon in the US and 8th in the World!

This is Matty’s last day at Primrose Preschool. Between Davy and Matty we spent four and a half years here and my heart is sad to say goodbye. As this chapter of our life has come to an end, a new one has opened where both of our boys will now be at Berkeley Prep. I am thankful for the directors and the teachers of this school, they loved our children and in return we loved them.

Mom and I went to the Quilt Expo at the Lakeland Center today. We saw some beautiful quilts. I picked up this pattern and here is a picture of another one that I loved and would go perfect with scraps. Afterwards, we went to the Terrace Hotel for lunch and finished up with a chocolate lava cake…yum yum!

After months and months of the admissions process, the wait is over…. Matty received his acceptance letter today. We are so proud of him and thrilled that both of our boys are officially Berkeley Prep boys… 🙂
