The boys went to Wren’s 7th birthday party today. It was a beautiful day. We sat outside in the shade while the kids played for two hours. The theme was Hotel Transylvania. I didn’t realize the sun had flashed Davy out…Ha! In the pic is Wren, Ava, and Davy.

The county schools started spring break this weekend so baseball games were canceled. Instead, we took the boys down to Bradenton Beach so that Davy could test out his new metal detector. I’m thinking that the camera lens was a little dirty. 🙂 For lunch the Zahn’s took us out for pizza and it was delicious!

All this month Matty’s class is focusing on different life cycles. Each child had to do a project at home and then bring it in for show and tell. This year Matty decided to do the life cycle of popcorn. He had the seeds, plant, ear of corn, package of unpopped popcorn, and a tub of finished fresh popped popcorn.

Strawberry Festival 2013
This year mom and I took the kids on the 20$ all you can ride arm band day! This was the best idea and Matty is now 42 inches so he can ride almost all of the rides. 🙂

Cub Scout Radio Tour
One of the big outings this year for the Tiger Cubs is to tour either a radio station or a tv station. We were fortunate to have Courtney be able to help us set up the tour. The boys got to see several different DJ’s working their specific radio channel, talk to Scotty Davis from 93.3, see the Monster Truck and the radio towers, and perform on the guest performance stage. After the other Cub’s left, Davy and Matty got to head back to Courtney’s desk in the traffic department to see how things are done. They had a great time!

After church this afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord hosted a BBQ for class. The boys had a great time fishing, Davy even caught a five pound Catfish.

After baseball today, Matty and I took a trip to south Tampa to go to little Ruby’s first birthday. The party theme was pink lemonade and erin did a great job with the food and decorations. Cakepops were super yummy… 🙂
