Kelly’s Patchwork Quilt
To make her quilt I used two Paris Flea Market Layer Cakes. Kelly loves patchwork patterns versus a block pattern, so this one’s for her!

Kelly was down in St. Petersburg for a wedding, so we met over at Cheesecake Factory for lunch before she headed back to Gainesville. I loved getting to see her….it’s been way to long! 🙂

Off to the circus we go. It was Matty’s first time watching the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’, and we loved how excited he was over each performance. Afterwards, on the way to the car we came across a line to go behind the scenes and tour the animals. The boys loved it, we had a great time! Big thanks to Ms. Ann and Mikey for inviting us.

Every year The Village Green, our neighborhood, has a Christmas tree burning party. We place the trees on the curb and the kids of the neighborhood haul out their wagons to go collecting. This year we had 42 trees!

Happy New Year! Every year we start off with a family trip to Starbucks. The boys were super excited to take their electric scooters. Usually Jan 1 is a beautiful day, but don’t you know that as soon as we sat down with hot chocolates and coffee the skies opened up and it rained. We couldn’t help but laugh. As the rain came down we spent the rest of the day relaxing. I cooked a Black-eyed pea cornbread skillet and started a new writing project, the boys played Skylanders and Disney Infinity, and Andy wandered over to WOB with Dan and Brian to watch the Rose Bowl. It was a nice way to start the year….
