Davy loves New Year’s Eve. He talks about it year round. So this year without the Carothers and Krulik families here we knew that we would have to make it extra fun for him. We talked about burning the Christmas tree in the fire pit like last year, but then decided to just buy a big pack of fireworks instead. They were so cute, the sun had barely set and they were grabbing us to go outside. Dan, Debbie, and Andrea came outside to watch the fun.
Matty lasted until about 9 and Davy made it until 11…he tried. At 11:45 we woke them up, toasted with some bubbly, and watched the ball drop to bring in the new year. This is mine and Andy’s 15th New Years together…love him.
In typical Westchase style, parties were going on all around us and fireworks were being blown off half of the night; and not just little ones, I’m talking about the big multicolored parade type. We were fortunate enough that someone in the neighborhood across from us was launching them and we had the perfect view to watch them from across the pond and on our couch. It was awesome! Little Matty says, “Mama, I found the fireworks out the window!!!” He was so cute.
